HOLLYWOOD, CA (PRWEB) March 21, 2005
The Terri Schiavo Foundation (http://www.terrisfight.org) today announced that an inter-faith prayer and fasting demonstration will be held by supporters of Terri Schiavo on her behalf in Hollywood, California. Wayne Galley, a recording artist and vocal Terri Schiavo supporter, will spearhead ÂTerriÂs Fast," which will continue until Terri's feeding tube is reinserted.
ÂI urge Americans not to give up hope, said Galley. ÂTerri is still very much alive. She is fighting for her life, and we cannot give up on her now when she is depending on us to act on her behalf. We must do all we can do, and that includes prayer and fasting.Â
Galley, a talented Australian-born recording artist, singer, songwriter, music producer and composer living in Southern California, has had recording contracts with RCA Australia, Warner Bros. America and Polystar Records Japan. Galley has been performing concerts and using his music as an instrument to proclaim Terri SchiavoÂs right to life. He has written several songs for Terri, which are on the ÂLIFEÂ CD to help the Terri Schiavo Foundation. Galley sees TerriÂs Fast as a continuation of his efforts to speak out on behalf of Terri, who cannot speak for herself.
TerriÂs Fast suggests that supporters across the nation volunteer to go without food and drink for at least one day to pray for GodÂs intervention to save Terri Schiavo from death by starvation and dehydration. Galley will personally spearhead the fast from Family Theater Productions at 7201 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California, and urges supporters of Terri Schiavo to join him at any time of the day or night starting on Palm Sunday, March 20, 2005 at 3:00pm PST.
ÂWe ask all of TerriÂs supporters to join us in Hollywood as we humbly pray and fast to petition God to intervene and save TerriÂs life. We urge those who cannot come down to Family Theater themselves to join us in spirit by praying and fasting from their home or place of work starting Sunday, Galley said.
ÂWe can sit in our favorite chair and feel frustrated by what has happened to Terri, or we can proactively take a stand and call on the Higher Power of us all to intervene, said Galley.  I and many other good concerned people are of a firm belief that God is protecting of Terri and despite the evil opposition we face he will be victorious in the end and restore her to full care. ÂBut as itÂs said, ÂAll that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men and women do nothing.ÂÂ
Celebrities Mel Gibson, Patricia Heaton, Randy Travis and Pat Boone have each issued statements supporting Terri Schiavo's parents and calling for Terri's feeding tube to be reinserted.
Despite congressional subpoenas being served by federal marshals to the hospice in Florida in which Terri Schiavo resides, yesterday, her feeding tube was surgically removed, beginning a torturous death by starvation and dehydration. ÂTerri should have been have granted legal protection, as federal statutes indicate it is illegal to harm or kill an individual who has been subpoenaed by Congress, said Barbara Weller, attorney for Terri SchiavoÂs parents, Bob and Mary Schindler. ÂYet Judge Greer blatantly disregarded the subpoenas. This action clearly puts him in contempt of Congress.Â
The Terri Schiavo Foundation wishes to thank Father Wilfred J. Raymond, CSC, the National Director of Family Theater Productions, who has graciously offered to host the headquarters for TerriÂs Fast, as he stands by the PopeÂs declaration that Âit will never be permissible to resort to actions or omissions which by their nature or in the intention of the person acting are designed to bring about death.Â
