In late October, Tenet Healthcare Corporation announced it had sold Forest Park Hospital to Argilla Healthcare, a newly established health care company. Shortly after, Argilla merged with Arizona-based Doctors Community Healthcare Corporation (DCHC). DCHC will be responsible for managing Forest Park Hospital and Dr. John Hirsch, a St. Louis surgeon, has been named President and Chief Executive Officer.
Forest Park Hospital, with 450 licensed beds, is located in west-central St. Louis, near Forest Park and the St. Louis Zoo. The hospital offers a wide range of medical and surgical services. Key services offered at Forest Park Hospital include: Breast Center, Cancer Care, Cardiac Catheterization, Cardiac Rehab, Critical Care Units, Endoscopy Center, Family Medicine, Foot Care and Hemodialysis. Forest Park Hospital is a teaching hospital, with physicians' medical education programs and nursing education activities on site.
