Habit Busting Hypnosis

Just as a thought can cause you to blush or to break out in a rash, so can many other thoughts influence the body. Hypnosis is a way of focusing your attention, so that new helpful thoughts can replace old thoughts that have become unhealthy habits. Hypnosis has been used in the medical community for decades in the U.S., and is becoming more popular as people learn of its benefits.

(PRWEB) March 22, 2005 -- For centuries people have been using some form or another of hypnosis to change, improve or enhance their lives both mentally and physically. Science and medical communities have evolved in their understanding of how our subconscious mind affects our health. Hypnotists around the world are discovering more ways to assist people in making changes that can dramatically increase their quality of life.

On Monday May 2 2005 at 12:15 PM at the Senior Center Anderson, 7970 Beechmont Ave 45255, William Molitor a Certified Master Hypnotist and Hypnotherapist from Tri-State Hypnosis Center will be presenting a one hour lecture and demonstration about hypnosis and its role in healthy living. This lecture is sponsored by the Senior Center Anderson and is free to the public.

As more people experience how an unhealthy habit can quickly be changed using hypnosis there is naturally more demand for it. Habits such as smoking have long been considered one of the hardest to break, yet thousands of people a year stop smoking with the help of hypnosis. The American Lung Association was founded in 1904 to fight tuberculosis; today it fights lung disease in all its forms, with special emphasis on asthma, tobacco control and environmental health. The most successful program employed by the American Lung Association for smoking cessation is hypnosis.

William Molitor says a common statement from his clients is I cant believe it was that easy to quit smoking" though many find this true it is important to note that hypnosis is not mind control. The hypnotist can not erase anything from your subconscious mind. William goes on to say that most people have heard all their lives that smoking is a chemical addiction to nicotine and you will suffer withdrawal symptoms when you attempt to quit. With this thought recorded in the subconscious mind as a fact, people may have feelings that resemble withdrawal-like symptoms when they try to quit. If you replace that erroneous fact with the truth that a habit is just a thought that you have practiced so long that it runs automatic from the subconscious, then a withdrawal-like response is not needed nor experienced. This immediate relief from the need for urges or withdrawal-like symptoms is why hypnosis seems magical to some people.

Hypnosis is also used to change unhealthy eating habits and help in weight control and weight loss. Other habit like hair pulling and nail biting are routinely addressed with hypnosis. Nearly every professional athlete uses hypnosis in one of its many forms to help improve their athletic abilities. The old inaccurate saying of no pain no gain" is being replaced with the help of hypnosis to it doesnt hurt to change your mind".

William Molitor is a certified master hypnotist and Hypnotherapist , he is an educational and transformational speaker, an area expert on hypnosis as seen on Cincinnatis FOX19 morning show, an expert 5-PATH Hypnotherapist, and received the 2004, 5-PATH leadership award.
