NSUH at Manhasset to Sponsor IBWC Sixth Anniversary Celebration
Uterine Fibroid Specialist Dr. Craig Greben to Address LI Networking Group
Great Neck, NY (PRWEB) March 27, 2005 -- The Independent Business Womens Circle (IBWC) of Womanspace will hold a gala luncheon celebration next month thanks to the generous sponsorship of North Shore University Hospitals Interventional Radiology Center, IBWCs founder Robin Gorman Newman announced recently. The luncheon, marking the sixth anniversary of the thriving networking group, will be held at its Womanspace headquarters on April 12th from 12:30 -2:00 at 3 St. Pauls Place in Great Neck, and will feature a catered buffet, a door prize and raffle, a food drive for LI Cares (non-perishable items only), and networking opportunities galore. Dr. Craig Greben, a specialist in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at North Shores Manhasset Division will briefly address the group.
We are pleased to sponsor the IBWC Anniversary Luncheon," stated Dr. Greben, as IBWC traditionally focuses on the total well-being of women. It is vitally important that modern working women take the time to learn their options in dealing with the often debilitating effects of UTERINE FIBROIDS. If you are suffering from heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, backaches, bloating, constipation or frequent urination, you may have uterine fibroids. We provide a minimally invasive therapy as an alternative to a hysterectomy, and we want to reach out to women with these symptoms and ask that they come and talk to us before undergoing drastic surgery."
An organization that fosters both professional and personal growth, IBWC encourages women to attain balance in their lives while pursuing their careers. There can be no balance without wellness," says Audrey Kaufman, Program Director, so we thank Dr. Greben and his team for bringing this important information to the IBWC community."
The event is open to the public. The donation for non-members is $10. IBWC welcomes all working women in the spirit of comity, whether self-employed, affiliated with an established corporation, or in transition. It provides a symbiotic environment in which to share experiences, leads and resources. Several members have started their own businesses while in the employ of others, and found the support at IBWC to be essential to their entrepreneurial endeavors. The group meets midday on the second Tuesday of every month to participate in a networking session or to attend a seminar on a timely and appropriate topic. The March 8th speaker, master organizer Sonya Weishappel struck a chord with her audience when she articulated her techniques for taming the beast of paper." Enthusiastic attendants peppered her with a multitude of questions, oblivious to the worsening blizzard conditions outside.
The Board of Directors has formulated a new and improved IBWC agenda which is evident in its upcoming events. They include a discounted defensive driving course on April 16th (call Sheryl Abramson at 516.860.9466 for details), a networking meeting on May 10th focusing on the institution of an IBWC Barter Bank, and a seminar by the Queen of Cold Calling," Wendy Weiss on June 14th.
