Gerlachs signature pieces are a marriage of two mediums, metal, namely sterling silver, and beadwork. I have always looked for ways to combine these two mediums which I feel have infinite design possibilities." Gerlach also favors using vintage materials such as unique beads & findings. While this makes it impossible to recreate multiple designs, it also means that each piece will be fresh and unique. I love to create new pieces each time I come to the studio. Gerlach has been designing jewelry for over ten years. She draws much of her inspiration from nature. She has always been fascinated by color and one of her specialties is finding and utilizing unique color combinations.
