(PRWEB) March 27, 2005 -- The Dental Assistant students at Pima Medical Institute, 3350 E. Grant Road, Suite 200 want to go on the road to visit local schools and teach the youngsters how to properly take care of their teeth this spring.

Teachers, or others who work with children, are encouraged to call Shamara Mitchell at 520-326-1600 to set up an appointment to have the dental assistant students interact with the children while providing useful information on proper oral hygiene.

Children eat a lot of sweets, especially around Easter time, and teaching them how to care for their teeth at an early age can have positive, long-term effects," said Stan Bodzioney, campus director for the Tucson medical career college.. By offering this outreach we are able to help the community, and our Dental Assistant students benefit by receiving hands-on experience in their chosen field."
