JasonÂs philosophy is a simple oneÂto share his skills and craftsmanship by designing and creating beautiful, well-built pieces for the home and garden. What started as a hobby, making items for friends and family, turned into something much bigger when he started selling a few pieces through eBay. Returning customers and great feedback inspired Jason to give up his day job and set up his venture as a full-time business where he can use his skills and creativity to do what he loves best.
ÂI started many years ago, learning to work with hand tools, machines, and the properties of the metals themselves to form and shape my copper and brass pieces. Those abilities canÂt be acquired by reading a book; the work isnÂt something as easy as watching another craftsman. I had to get my own hands on the work and strive hard for success, and sometimes that meant failing...I don't use the words skill, integrity, and craftsmanship lightly; these were qualities I had to achieve before I could fulfull my dream.
ÂEventually I honed all the skills needed to qualify as a Master Craftsman and set up my own shop. I am pleased to be able to sell my quality items around the world! The responses that I have gotten have been outstanding. I am most gratified that so many people now display my work in their homes, gardens, and businesses.Â
ItÂs not just Fannin who believes in the art of the Master Craftsman! Many of his customers are excited to work with him, getting a handcrafted product and personal service not offered by many home-improvement corporations in todayÂs fast-paced, disposable world.
Jean Marie in Wisconsin writes Jason: "Thank you very much for custom-making my copper pot rack. Your professionalism, expert craftsmanship, and timeliness in completion and shipping made this transaction a breeze. I enjoy your giving me the history behind the materials used and am quite certain the piece will become a topic of many discussions with family and friends. I will not hesitate in contacting you again should my friends or I need anything in the future. Thank you again!"
Jason Fannin trades as The Metal PeddlerÂs Workshop and began business in January 2005 after training for 10 years in the metal fabrication and machine industry.
