For ease of use, pulsecomposer V4.0 allows users to customize the layout window to their particular needs. Some of the new features in this version include graphical icons for displaying functions, multiple call flow views, drag and drop functionality from the tool box to the worksheet, copy and paste of multiple functions, automatic storage of voice file names and application variables, and an extensive help engine. A docked property window displays function information as well as errors and warning messages.

pulsecomposers new functionality includes benefits for both programmers and end users. On the programming side, Global Menu is used to direct a function to go to an area when specific digits are pressed during any play function within the application. A dynamic menu option allows developers to create menus based on a callers profile or actions. pulsecomposer V4.0 also includes a converter for updating applications created with V3.0 to the new version.

End users will notice improvements when using the system, too. With the Advanced Play function, callers can now rewind, forward or pause a voice file. With the GoTo function, callers will save time by jumping from one section of the call flow to another.
