Liza J. Sloss, publicist (Slingshot PR) for acclaimed actor and voice over talent, Yuri Lowenthal, is proud to announce that Yuri just wrapped the horror film Â?DeathÂ?s DoorÂ? and is currently voicing lead characters on the animated seriesÂ? Â?Kyo Kara Maoh,Â? Â?Saiyuki Reload,Â? Â?Girls Bravo,Â? and Â?The Mars DaybreakÂ?

After wrapping indie crime drama “Pissed” as the villainous Vlad, opposite Jaime Gomez (Nash Bridges) and Brian Krause (Charmed), Yuri turned to horror, starring in Creative Spark Entertainment’s “Death’s Door.” In this twisted tale of a television psychic who unwittingly brings evil spirits from the other side over, “Death’s Door” features Yuri as Ryan, the hot-tempered lighting tech who finds himself locked in the television station with a spirit out for blood. Look for this film, directed by George Scileppi and penned by Ken Gust and Alex Keir, later this year.

Not one to sit still, Lowenthal is jumping back into the voice over world and can be heard voicing the lead character (named aptly enough) ‘Yuri’ on the anime series “Kyo Kara Maoh.” The show stars Yuri as a high school student sucked into another world where he finds himself the King of Demons.

Lowenthal can currently be heard as the TV spokesvoice for Dell Computers, as well as voicing lead characters on such shows as: “DearS,” “Ultramaniac,” “Girls Bravo,” “Saiyuki Reload,” “Hana Ukyou,” “Daydream,” “Marmalade Boy,” “The Mars Daybreak,” “Zatch Bell,” and the title character on Cartoon Network’s “RaveMaster.” He also stars as the naïve but heroic Leo Skorpus in the recent hit, “Scrapped Princess.”

Yuri’s work in voicing characters on video games such as “Prince of Persia: Sands of Time” and “Medal of Honor: Rising Sun,” continues to grow, with characters on “Arc the Lad,” “Dungeons & Dragons,” “Digital Devil Saga,” “Radiata Stories,” and “The Shield” video games.

Yuri was just seen in The Acme Theatre’s Day Players, a 24 hour play festival, in a piece written by “Malcolm in the Middle’s” Ian Busch and directed by Ben Rock of “Blair Witch” fame.

Located in Los Angeles, Yuri has been very busy of late with his new production company, Monkey Kingdom Productions. Monkey Kingdom is currently in pre-production on the character-driven drama "Barstow," written by Lowenthal, set for a fall shoot. Yuri will play Mark, an uptight office exec looking to put his father’s death to rest.

Lowenthal is currently in rehearsals with the Circle X Theatre Company on a collaborative theatre piece on modern myths. This yet untitled play is set for a fall production at the Inside the Ford Amphitheatre.
