Rapid Intake Releases Online Training Courses on e-Learning Development Skills Using Macromedia Flash or Dreamweaver

Rapid Intake, Inc. (http://www.rapidintake.com), best known for its popular e-Learning Developer Series line of books, announced that it has released two comprehensive, pre-recorded, online training courses on the use of Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver as e-learning authoring tools.

Vancouver, WA (PRWEB) April 4, 2005 -- Rapid Intake, Inc. (http://www.rapidintake.com), best known for its popular e-Learning Developer Series line of books, announced that it has released two comprehensive, pre-recorded, online training courses on the use of Macromedia Flash and Dreamweaver as e-learning authoring tools.

Weve been teaching these courses to other e-learning developers for years now," says Garin Hess, CEO of Rapid Intake. Weve had so many inquiries from people who cant make it to our instructor-led training that we decided we needed to provide an avenue for them."

The courses Rapid Intake has released are:
- Using Dreamweaver MX and CourseBuilder to Create e-Learning (targets Dreamweaver MX 2004 - http://www.rapidintake.com/ri_press_prerecord_training_CB_bundle.htm)
- Using Flash MX to Create e-Learning (targets Flash MX 2004 - http://www.rapidintake.com/ri_press_prerecord_training_flash_bundle.htm)

The courses teach how to use two of the most popular web-development tools to create interactive online courses.

Dreamweaver and Flash are popular as e-learning authoring environments because internal IT departments already have the staff with the skills needed to maintain them," says Steven Hancock, president of Rapid Intake. They also often already have licenses for developers to use."

The courses are the online equivalent to the two and two-and-a-half day courses Rapid Intake has been conducting for over four years.

These courses are going to be more effective, in some ways, than our instructor-led training," says Hess. Learners can go at their own pace, review whenever they want, and go through only the materials that they need for their current projects."

The courses are offered in separate course modules, or as a course series bundle. This allows advanced learners to avoid purchasing courseware that they may already know.

So far our course series bundles have been the most popular because they provide the most value," says Hancock, but we have seen significant sales of our individual courses as well."

Garin Hess and Steven Hancock are the authors of four e-learning development titles, including best-sellers Using Dreamweaver MX to Create e-Learning and Using Flash MX to Create e-Learning. One of the things that makes the courses so attractive is that each course is bundled with one of these two books in Rapid Intakes "eLearning Developer Series", valued at up to $64.99.

We want to make this training as accessible as possible," says Hess. We have international customers who could never afford to make the trip to a live training session but can instantly get the same training as someone in a class. We also want to make the training affordable."

At $349 for the Flash course series and $249 for the Dreamweaver series, the price is right. Comparable instructor-led training costs participants usually somewhere in the range of $700-$1000 per participant, and thats not including travel costs.

Each course series also includes access to two live instructor-led question/answer sessions. This question/answer session takes place via a conference call and a web-conferencing connection so that the learner can watch the instructor demonstrate techniques real-time.

While we are big advocates for self-paced e-learning courseware, we also understand the great benefits of being able to ask questions and also hear questions asked by other learners," says Hancock, a fifteen year training veteran. The live Q&A session really adds to the learning experience."

Rapid Intakes website lists these benefits and features:
- Learn from the authors of the books as you watch and listen to them complete each step-by-step!
- Attend a live question and answer session with an instructor!
- Go at your own pace!
- Get started within minutes!
- Take the training on the road!
- Do an exercise yourself, then see how the author completed it!
- Never get stuck trying to complete an exercise!
- Get a free copy* of one of our popular e-Learning Development Series books!
- Buy a series bundle and save!
- Get new ideas and tips that didn't make it into the books!
- In some courses, see real world examples of actual projects where the techniques were used!
