The 2005 Vans Warped Tour Charity Concert Ticket Auctions will Get Fans On-Stage with Their Favorite Band

The T.J. Martell Foundation, in conjunction with The 2005 Vans Warped Tour, is proud to announce the Second Annual Charity Ticket Auction for Leukemia, Cancer and Aids Research. Beginning April 4th, and running for five consecutive weeks, fans can bid on eBay for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to receive two tickets to the premiere punk rock concert and lifestyle festival, the 2005 Vans Warped Tour. In addition, the top bidder and their guest will watch their favorite band perform from the best seats in the house: on stage

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 2, 2005 -- 2005 will mark the 11th anniversary of the Vans Warped Tour; America's longest-running touring concert festival. The all-day outdoor festivals, drawing as many as 15,000 to 35,000 fans per event, will make stops in 50 US and Canadian cities, coast-to-coast, beginning on June 18th, 2005, in Columbus, Ohio, concluding August 15, 2005 in Northampton, Massachusetts. Each festival date features over 40 bands performing on five stages, as well as other attractions including skateboard ramps and demonstrations, informational tents, autograph signings, giveaways and lifestyle events. Projected to be the largest in its history, the 2005 Vans Warped Tour will feature leading punk and hard rock bands, including Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Dropkick Murphys, Matchbook Romance, MxPx, My Chemical Romance, and The Offspring.

Founded in 1975 by Columbia/Sony music industry executive Tony Martell in memory of his son, T.J., a victim of leukemia, the T. J Martell Foundation has since raised more than $180 million over 30-years to combat the worlds three most deadliest diseases. The T.J. Martell Foundation remains dedicated to raising funds for the innovative initial and ongoing research into the treatments and cures of leukemia, cancer, and AIDS at the leading eight research facilities throughout the United States. In 2001, Martell Foundation money contributed to the discovery of Gleevec, the breakthrough drug that has a profound effect on a rare strain of leukemia.

All proceeds from the Vans Warped Tour ticket auctions will benefit the life saving research conducted at The Mayo Clinic, and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering and Columbia Presbyterian Cancer Centers and others. In 2004, The T. J. Martell Foundations Vans Warped Tour Ticket Auctions generated $11,000.00 in funding.

Vans Warped Tour Ticket Auctions will begin on April 4, 2005, when ten pairs of tickets with accompanying stage access passes for the first ten tour dates will be posted to eBay as Seven-Day, No Reserve Auctions. Ten additional pairs of tickets with stage passes, for each additional ten tour dates will again be posted to eBay on April 11, April 18, April 25 and May 2, 2005.
