RNM Systems Develops New Foreign Exchange Game Partnered by Times Online

RNM Systems, the award-winning Canary Wharf based software company, has developed a new online game - FX Player - launching this month in association with Times Online.

(PRWEB) April 3, 2005 -- RNM was appointed to build the FX Player site (www.fxplayer.com), the new web-based foreign exchange game, the first game of its kind. Thanks to its real-time simulation www.fxplayer.com allows users to trade virtual foreign currency against the real market movements, in the hope of making their virtual fortune.

RNM Systems developed the FX Player game after a year of research and development, which utilises robust technology in a three-tier architecture: a user interface display layer, a business logic layer and a bottom tier database layer. A java application handles the live market data feed, which is central to achieving the game's real life environment.

Times Online will be an official sponsor of the game for a year-long partnership, which includes a live Times-supplied news feed to the game site to help players keep up to date with market-affecting current affairs.

FX Player users will register for a 5 lifetime membership. In return they'll receive a virtual 50 million and 100 trades, with which they'll play the major international currencies to buy and sell millions of pounds worth of foreign currency. Prizes will also be offered for the best and worst trader and users will have the option to set up their own mini-leagues.
