Tim Brantley Wins Coors Light/99X March Bandness
The winner of the Coors Light/99X March Bandness battle of the bands has been decided. After 4 weeks of eliminations starting with 32 of Atlanta's top bands competing, Tim Brantley has claimed victory over the competition.
Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) April 3, 2005 -- After a 4 weeks of eliminations and starting with 32 of Atlantas top bands competing, Tim Brantley and his band has won the final round of the Coors Light/99X March Bandness held at Andrews Upstairs on March 30th. The remaining bands in the final four round also included Line of Sight, the Paper Champions, and Heavy Mojo.
Local music industry professionals judged each round on a point scale of 1 - 10, and every person with paid admittance received a ballot worth one vote for their favorite act. At the end of the night Tim Brantleys score totaled 221 points compared to 2nd place winner Heavy Mojo with 158.
For wining the competition Tim and his band are awarded a prize package estimated at $25,000 value from sponsors including Aleven Music Marketing and Design, Paste Magazine, Tree Sound Studios, Protocol Entertainment, Degy Booking, AbbaDabbas, Electron Gardens, and Usedfilm.
In addition, Tims band have secured performing slots in the following events:
- A performing slot on the East Andrews Spring Music Festival on Sunday, April 24th
- A performing slot on the 2005 Atlantis Music Conference to be held August 10 - 13, (Atlanta, GA)
- A performing slot on the Athfest Music Conference to be held June 23 - 26 2005 (Athens, GA)
- A performing slot on the Turner South - My South Rocks Concert Series with the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field
- A performing slot on the Aquafina On the Bricks -- A Concert Series in Centennial Olympic Park. (Date TBA)
