Alphalogix, Inc., a leading provider of enterprise communication and collaboration solutions and services, announced today the launch of version 1.8 of their Visual Collaboration System Web Conference Network Appliance. The Visual Collaboration System (VCS200) is a fully integrated “plug and play” network appliance solution optimized for hosting rich, interactive, live collaborative meetings via a web browser. Simply plug the unit into your network and you can be hosting a live web conference in just a few minutes.

Version 1.8 extends the already rich feature set of the Alphalogix product by adding many new features and enhancements. The new features include an updated and improved file transfer system to distribute files to conference attendees. This feature extends the already powerful file transfer system making it easier to allow conference attendees to download files either during a conference or at the conclusion of a conference.

The new version also extends the types of meetings available to host including a new collaborative type meeting in which up to 5 attendees (out of a100 maximum) can be designated as speakers by the meeting moderator and all conference attendees can see and hear them simultaneously. This extension of multiple meeting types also paves the way for the future addition of other specialized meeting types.

The overall user interface has been greatly simplified and enhanced allowing for easier navigation and simplicity of use for conference moderators, speakers, and attendees. This update includes a wide array of enhancements including drag and drop capability for the file sharing system, and simplified navigation for creating and attending web conferences.

Also introduced in this version is the availability of optional language packs to dynamically translate the entire user interface into several available languages including English (standard), French, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, German, and Chinese. Users can individually select their language preference when they join a conference. This unique method allows for one participant to see the meeting user interface in English while another attendee can view the user interface in Korean, making it easier to communicate across traditional language barriers.

These new features extend what is already one of the richest feature sets available in any web conferencing system, including complete cross platform capability, keeping Alphalogix at the forefront of web conferencing technology. The VCS system integrates with the entire line of Alphalogix business communication and collaboration products which include the Versona Instant Messaging System, Collaborative Objects Advanced File Sharing, Forms Director Workflow System, and others.
