Bronto Software, a leading email marketing company, announced a nearly 20% increase in revenue for the first quarter of 2005 compared to the fourth quarter of 2004. First quarter revenue was also more than double the revenue compared to the same period last year.
Bronto added 57 new clients in the quarter to a total of 315, including its first in China. Bronto now has clients in North America, Europe, and Asia. To keep up with the demand of the product, Bronto hired five new staff members and is looking to add several more in the second quarter.
Bronto continues to improve its web-based solution to enable marketers to effectively communicate with their customers online. Over the past several months the team has focused on enhancing the segmentation and overall contact management functionality. ÂSuccessful email marketing starts with knowing the recipients and their interests,Â said Joe Colopy, president of Bronto. ÂThe enhanced contact management, plus the development we have planned in the second quarter and beyond will give marketers the power to send relevant communications to their prospects and customers.Â
One of the new clients is the United Services Organizations (USO) which provides entertainment and support to members of the U.S. military and their family. The USO sends out an email newsletter every six weeks to volunteers, donors, and sponsors letting them know about what's happening with the organization.
