Join us in Birmingham, April 13-14 for the Southeast Venture Capital Forum
The 2nd Annual Southeast Venture Capital Forum features the fourteen tech companies on Thursday April 14
(PRWEB) April 7, 2005 -- In addition to the 14 great companies listed further below, you are invited to participate in our investor-specific activities. Building on last year's successful pre-event amenities, we have improved opportunities for you to network and mingle with other VCs before getting on with the business at hand on Thursday, April 14. The main event will be held at the Birmingham Hilton near I-459 and Highway 280 in suburban Birmingham.
The forum officially kicks off on Wednesday the 13th with a golf outing at the renowned Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail courses in Birmingham. Open to qualified investors who pre-register for the forum, this free event will begin with a private VIP tour of the new Ross Bridge PGA course before lunch, followed by play on a choice of the Ridge or Valley courses.
During the evening, investors and presenting companies' executives will gather at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum for a gala reception. They will be joined by members of the mentor teams that assisted the presenting companies in preparing for the event. The Museum features a collection of over 900 vintage and modern motorcycles, as well as a substantial collection of Lotus and other racecars. It is considered the largest in North America and possibly the world.
Additionally, qualified investors will also be offered the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ride in the passenger seat of Porsche 911 Carrera, powered by a 320-horsepower engine and driven by a professional race car driver, around the world-class Barber Motorsports Park track. This amenity is provided free by the forum organizers and reinforces this year's theme for the event, "Stay in the Race."
Following the 10-minute presentations of each of the fourteen companies, the luncheon will feature a presentation titled "The IPO Journey... Two Perspectives." The speakers are Chip Grayson, head of Morgan Keegan's investment banking division, and Randy Pittman, CFO of Emageon (NASDAQ: EMAG) which recently completed Birmingham's most recent initial public offering.
Register today on www.SEVENCAP.com to attend all of the events. Last year we had nearly 50 venture capitalist professionals in attendance. On behalf of the entire organizing committee, we invite YOU to participate and be included in what is sure to be a great event.
