SafeguardYourCar.com Launches GSM2005 - GSM2005 allows you to remotely control your vehicle from anywhere in the world.

Safeguard Your Car Limited today announces the formal launch of GSM2005, a new concept in vehicle security for the domestic and commercial markets. Today's release enables owners to control every aspect of the security of their prized possession. GSM2005 allows you to arm your vehicle via your mobile phone and even if the keys are stolen you can remotely immobilise the engine and stop the car, locking the doors. Once the system is armed via the GSM module the keys and keyfob are overridden, thus preventing the car being started or even unlocked until you disarm the system via the phone.

Wootton, (PRWEB) April 11, 2005 -- According to statistics published by The Home Office, 34% of all car thefts occurred after the keys were stolen from the owners house. Recently this figure had risen to 44%. High performance, or luxury cars are obviously the primary target for people who commit these types of crime. GSM2005 will make this type of crime a thing of the past.

"GSM2005 gives control back to the owner, rather than the thief." said Tim Foster, Managing Director of SafeguardYourCar.com. "As soon as the alarm is triggered, whether its in silent mode or alarm mode, the car will call your pre-programmed numbers and let you know. You then simply listen in to the activity in and around the vehicle, speaking to the occupants if necessary. We're very proud to bring GSM2005 to the UK market, and we will continue to develop the product, improving the functionality for users worldwide."

What sets GSM2005 apart from other anti-hijack systems is not only the affordability but that fact that it is a voice based system. Rather than being reliant on SMS, which can take up to two hours to deliver a message, GSM2005 is immediate. Once your car answers the call you are in control and can remotely manage the vehicle." He continued.

In addition to being able to remotely immobilise the engine, as GSM2005 uses standard GSM mobile phone technology, its location can be tracked and monitored via numerous partner websites, such as www.followus.co.uk. If the SIM card has reception the GSM2005 is contactable. This, coupled with the fact that the car will telephone you when the alarm is triggered, makes it unique in the car security market.

GSM2005 also provides a unique marketing edge for fleet managers. Rental cars can be remotely locked and unlocked for easy out of hours collections. Using the built in microphone and speaker, you can actually talk you customer through the fascia orientation without having to leave your desk.
