Please join us, Sunday April 10th at Aroma Thyme Bistro for complimentary champagne and hors doeuvres. Special media viewing from 1-2pm, public viewing from 2-5pm. Special Screening of The Worlds Largest Portraits" by film producer/director Gary Planken at The Shadowland Theatre (three doors down). This documentary depicts the half-million square foot portrait of Jimi Hendrix in a local hay field and the events it inspired. View Rogers work at www.aromathyme.biz or www.ellenvilleny.org/landingzone.htm

(PRWEB) April 8, 2005 -- The signs will include many from the artists personal collection, seldom displayed to the public. Others will be on loan from shops and private residences where they have served for years to intrigue individuals with their wit and elegance.

Aroma Thyme co-owner and chef, Marcus Guiliano, says the exhibit is the first in a continuing series of art programs planned for the restaurant. Nothing enhances fine food more than a wonderful setting," said Guiliano, and the work of Roger Baker creates a fabulous atmosphere for a meal."

The scope and range of subject matter is broad and unexpected. Whether actual or the imaginative musings of the artist, the attention to detail of the finished product is exceptional.

In addition to his reputation as a sign painter, Roger Baker is internationally known for his field art, comprised of the huge 50-acre portrait of Elvis to the Statue of Liberty, Einstein and Jimi Hendrix. These images were created on the hang gliding landing fields visible from the RT. 52 scenic overlooks 1,000 feet above the valley floor.

Since Aroma Thyme Bistro opened on New Years Eve, 2003, it has generated an enthusiastic following from Orange, Ulster, and Sullivan Counties, and has often even further reaches. Dinner guests enthuse over the chefs devotion to using only the highest quality natural ingredients, while shunning butter, white flour and refined sugar on the grounds that they mask the natural flavors of food. His menu includes such appetizers as chilled sea scallops, and a full range of fine steak, free range chicken, seafood and vegan main courses.

The restaurants wine list features scores of reds and whites from the worlds finest vineyards, plus well over a dozen exotic beers, many of them hard to find in this area.

Chef Marcus is joined in operating Aroma Thyme Bistro by his wife, Jamie, who manages the dining room itself. Both are Ellenville area natives.
