Noble County needed to replace an outdated server, however faced with the prospect of spending $35,000.00 for a new server and maintenance cost of $6,560.00 Noble County started a search for alternatives. The state proposed online system, J-Tech is expected to replace individual server functions in two years therefore a more cost effective solution was required. Dave contacted NASA for hardware procurement and implementation planning. Within a few days, NASA developed a pre-owned server solution comparable in every aspect to the proposed server minus the extreme cost. The server was installed March 9th 2005 and has been operating with capacity to spare and without any issues. Several weeks after the installation Dave Baum confirmed the CountyÂs satisfaction, ÂWe are extremely pleased with the way that NASA has crafted a solution to meet Noble countyÂs needs. Not only did it exceed our expectations in terms of value, but the transition to our new system has been virtually flawless.Â
