Victoria Carrington, M.D. is a former psychiatrist who is living her dream as a work-at-home mom, freelance writer and Christian life coach for moms. As part of the fulfillment of her mission to help moms lead more joy-filled lives, Dr. Carrington is offering training for those interested in a career as Christian life coach for moms. Dr. Carrington, who specializes in helping moms discover their passion, live their dreams and pursue successful career transitions, is offering the training so that more coaches will be available to specifically help moms with career, parenting and spiritual issues.

Mom Coach Training is an individualized, intensive period of 3 months of training done one-on-one with Dr. Carrington by phone. Written materials and e-mail support will be part of the training. Participants for the 3-month program will be carefully screened and Dr. Carrington will train no more than twelve Mom Coaches at one time. Mom coaches will learn how to coach by being coached and by coaching. An important part of the training will involve learning about moms and their historical and current roles in society as well as staying abreast of relevant news and trends affecting moms so that mom coaches can be most effective for their clients. Geared primarily towards those who are Christian or those who feel comfortable coaching those with Christian beliefs, Dr. Carrington’s Mom Coach Training teaches how to offer spiritual support for moms as well. The training includes a “How to Get Started as a Mom Coach” module. Free e-mail follow-up is available for all trainees for as long as it is needed.

Unlike most existing coach training programs, this niche coach training is the focus of the program, not just a track within a larger curriculum. This allows for targeted learning to occur over a short amount of time. The coaching techniques taught are the same as those that allowed Dr. Carrington to pursue her dream of becoming a freelance writer and a work-at-home mom after pursuing a career in medicine. She wants to share the successful translation of her family values into her lifestyle that have made her very happy today.
