The author/trainer Mogens Eliasen from K9joy®, BC, Canada offers a FREE training session to teach dog owners how to train their dog not to pull on the leash while being walked. Prizes (up to $800 value) will be awarded by K9joy® to the ten dog owners who accomplish the greatest improvement in their dogs leash manners using the positive methods Mogens is famous for.
Time: April 27, 6-10:30 PM EST
Location: Rambler Inn, Thurmont, Maryland
The session is a tribute to Mogens' newly released book "Don't Pull on the Leash!". All participants in the training/contest will get a copy of it on CD.
No pain  no abuse - no choke chains  no halties  no electronics  no Âspecial devices of any kind will be allowed. All work will be done with an ordinary buckle collar and a solid leash.
Mogens Eliasen is on a mission to raise the level of consciousness for dog owners to recognize and respect the dog's nature. He is providing a series of courses and seminars in Thurmont, MD from April 27 to May 08, including the free leash training. The MD visit is part of a tour from St. Louis, MO till Ottawa, Canada.
"Dogs are intelligent animals that need mental stimulation and challenges in order to stay in harmony with themselves and their environment - in my experience, 90-95% of all behavioral problems originate in inadequate mental stimulation", says Mogens.
ÂDogs need more than food and shelter, and some petting. They need to be appreciated as valuable members in a pack/family with competent leadership, and they need to work with their instincts.Â
