San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 14, 2005 -- Solo artist Cousin Isaac spent the greater part of 2004 recording in Japan, Thailand and the US for his latest CD entitled "Prepare for Departure" a 10 track mind-trip featuring songs about proselytizing, jealousy, and drugs.
Sound wise, "Prepare for Departure" has been dubbed "Eclectro" for it's eclectic, electronic production style, while the songs are basically Pop, with verses, choruses, and hooks.
Recording at friend's houses, hotels- wherever he happened to be staying as he traveled between his headquarters in San Francisco and various countries in Asia, Cousin Isaac composed, produced and performed everything on the 10 track disc except for the Koto on "Jealous Type (yakimochi mix)" played by soloist Hiroko Nakajima, which he later remixed. "I'm a real control freak," says Cousin Isaac "So I do most everything myself."
And he does mean everything. Releasing the album on his own online-only label "Idnote," Cousin Isaac is literally a one man show. When performing live, Cousin Isaac usually flies solo, beatboxing into a looping sampler, adding sounds from various sources such as synths, toys, the audience, and then remixing it. ( He does sometimes bring on guest scratch DJ's, VJ's and go-go dancers however. )
"Prepare for Departure" is now available online at http://cafepress.com/cousinisaac.
