Very Memorable Design's Educational Websites Make the Grade

Very Memorable Design will be honored with two showcase awards at the upcoming 63rd Annual Graphic Arts Awards Exhibition on April 21st, 2005, presented by the Association of Graphic Communications.

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 12, 2005 -- Very Memorable Design (http://www.vm.com) will be honored with two showcase awards at the upcoming 63rd Annual Graphic Arts Awards Exhibition on April 21st, 2005, presented by the Association of Graphic Communications (http://www.agcomm.org/). The winning entries are:

Worklore: Brooklyn Workers Speak (http://www.worklore.net): An educational website that explores the history of work and labor issues in Brooklyn. This content-rich website features numerous articles, photo galleries, and audio recordings of oral history that bring visitors face-to-face with the social heritage of Brooklyn, all presented in a style that evokes the era of stirring art deco industrial design and the posters of the WPA.

Don't Get Stuck With the Fruitcake (http://www.timeforkids.com/TFK/specials/articles/0,6709,880056,00.html): A holiday-themed game created for Time for Kids magazine. In this fast-paced quiz game, players must rid themselves of a stack of loathsome fruitcakes by running door to door, answering questions about holiday traditions around the world. Wrong answers are awarded with -- yet more fruitcake! Surprises lurk behind every door, turning a walk down the block into a tense adventure, whether players fly solo or compete head-to-head. Players turn this funky, highly animated game into a unique experience through choices of game play style and customizable characters, and all the action is backed by a catchy techno soundtrack.

"It's very fitting that our design work on a history-oriented website is being recognized by a graphic arts association with a long history of its own, being founded well over a hundred years ago in 1865. And seeing our Fruitcake game acknowledged makes winning that much sweeter!" said Very Memorable founder Michael J. Pinto. In addition, the firm has been honored with two achievement awards for its outstanding print design work.
