The Poker Bug is Biting Harder and Harder
Poker has become so popular in the last couple of years. As an aspiring entrepreneur, I wanted a piece of the action so I started my own poker shop online.
(PRWEB) April 14, 2005 -- Poker is more popular than ever. One cannot flip through the channels on the television without seeing a poker tournament. More and more people are playing poker everyday, especially texas holdem.
Poker is being played everywhere. There are big tournaments such as The World Series of Poker and The World Poker Tour where the best of the best play. These are televised events where cameras are embedded in the tables so the viewers can see what the players are holding. Poker tournaments are also being held frequently to raise money for charity. Many people are playing poker online. For example, Party Poker, one of the biggest online poker sites, had 61,250 people playing on it at 11:56 PM eastern on April 12, 2005.
As an aspiring entrepreneur, I decided to start up my own poker store on the internet to tap into this market. I took an Internet marketing course, and started up http://www.pokerdiscounter.com. I always dreamed of owning an Internet store, and I believe I made a great choice. Poker is all around us.
