This effort will take place in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 5, 2005 during the Foundations Global Health Summit.

World Environment Day is commemorated each year on June 5 to expose and promote environmental issues to the public. This years main celebration of the World Environment Day will be held in San Francisco, California. The Foundations Global Summit will support their mission of partnerships that will advocate awareness of changes in public health.

The Global Summit is planned as the venue to introduce the Surgeon Generals proposed Call to Action on Global Health. The summit will provide a forum for individual and organizational input on how to address certain global health issues. A few of the focus areas will include:
•   Diseases
•   Priority Environmental Concerns

•   Global Health Infrastructure and Leadership

This day in Public Health will be a seminal event that will help health professionals and advocates to gain a better knowledge of the worlds changing health issues.
