Veteran Teachers Desperate for Revitalization in their Classrooms

Inspiring Teachers has a new resource out made just for veteran teachers. Help in the classroom is on the way with Classrooms that Spark!

(PRWEB) April 15, 2005 -- Veteran teachers have been in the classroom for years. Theyve tried every trick in the book. Theyve experienced successes, failures, endured administrative obstacles, and endless piles of paperwork. No wonder teachers are quitting right and left.

Most teachers who have been in the classroom for years will tell you that they love teaching. Its all that other stuff" that makes them wonder why they began this profession in the first place. The current national turnover rate of 15 percent costs taxpayers somewhere between 329 million and 2.1 billion additional dollars -- each year. The reason for this? One simple word. Burnout. The Solution? Classrooms that SPARK!

Teachers need a resource for revitalization in their classrooms. They need new ideas, they need to be reminded of oldies-but-goodies" and most of all, they need to have the sense that they can do this teaching thing" and do it well. What they need is a SPARK to recharge the FIRE in their classroom.

Now teachers have an ally. They can turn open a book that recharges, revitalizes, and re-energizes their love of teaching. In Classrooms that SPARK!, two veteran Texas educators Emma McDonald and Dyan Hershman provide an energetic, hands-on approach to classroom strategies that will help other veteran teachers remember why they chose this profession!

Trina Cochrane, Teacher at Waco ISD says, I could not put Classrooms that Spark away until I had read it to its end! It truly ignited the flame of enthusiasm."

I have just finished going through Classrooms that Spark and I am so impressed. It is a wonderful collection of practical and easy to do ideas for teachers of all age levels. You have addressed how different ideas can be implemented (and gave examples) for different age levels." Barb OBrien of Ashland, WI.

Emma McDonald and Dyan Hershman have been educating children and adults for over 10 years. Their strategies have been featured in Instructor and other educational magazines. They are also the authors of the world renowned Survival Kit for New Teachers.
