New PMS-5150 Industrial Panel PC

The PMS-5150 is a panel PC that features a rugged NEMA 4/12 compliant front panel and a highly integrated POS embedded board. The panel PC is designed specifically for applications that require a computing solution providing space saving efficiency and continuous operation capacity in harsh environments.

City of Industry, CA (PRWEB) April 16, 2005 -- Broadax Systems Inc. today has announced a New Panel PC Series in their ever-expanding line of Industrial Panel PCs. The PMS-5150 is an industrial workstation, which provides space saving efficiency and reliability in just about any location. The PMS-5150 comes standard with a 15" TFT LCD Display and Touch Screen, which delivers 250/260 cd/m2 of brightness. Also this industrial Panel PC includes multiple-I/O design for interfacing with a wide array of PC peripherals. There is also a PCI Slot and a Compact Flash socket for added expandability. The chassis is constructed of Heavy-Duty Steel for strength and durability; the front bezel is made out of aluminum. The front panel is NEMA 4/12 compliant and is sealed against water and dust.

The PMS-5150 comes standard with a 15" TFT 1024 x 768 XGA LCD Display. There is a 17" version of this unit, which is the PMS-5170. Also this Industrial Panel PC is able to accommodate a maximum of 1.0GB of DDR Memory and an 80GB 3.5" Hard Drive, there is also an option for a second Hard Drive. The Display Controller is integrated on the motherboard, with a maximum of 64MB. Processing power comes from a Pentium-4 2.8 GHz 533 FSB CPU. To add greater flexibility, the PMS-5150 offers 3 x RS-232, 1x RS232/422/485, 2x USB Port, 1 half size PCI Slot for an extra controller cards This Panel PC also comes equipped with an NEC Slim-Type DVD+/-R/RW Drive (optional), Slim Floppy Drive, Built-in 10/100BT Ethernet, Built-in AC' 97 Stereo Sound and an AC Input 200W ATX PSU With PFC. The PMS-5150 is Panel Mount Ready and can handle Vibration: 5-17Hz, 1.5G acceleration peak to peak / Shock: 10G peak to peak.

Additional options and accessories for the PMS-5150 are a Water Resistant Keyboard and Logitech or Microsoft Mice. Different Operating Systems are available, ranging from Microsoft Windows 98 SE to Windows XP Professional. Third Party Software is also available.
