A skilled and knowledgeable workforce is one of the keys to not only a companyÂs success, but also is an important factor in the economic vitality of a community or region. Among the challenges employers face when seeking training for employees is tracking down and comparing providers. It can be an exhaustive process.
A new website, Workforce Enterprise (http://www.workforceenterprise.org), is a comprehensive guide to make workforce training decisions easier and less time consuming. The website, made possible by the Helen Bader Foundation, is an informational, regional resource designed by the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Center for Workforce Development to assist employers and individuals in Southeastern Wisconsin to put training resources such as training providers, funding for training, assessment tools and more, in one convenient location.
According to Center Director Sammis White, ÂThis is a very valuable site for area employers. Continuing education and training can be a large investment, one on which employers and individuals want to make informed decisions. This website brings to one easily accessible location much of the information needed for wise investments.Â
The Center for Workforce Development works with university, business and community partners to build and implement workforce development strategies to increase the competitive workforce in the southeast region of our state.
