Alpine Pictures, Inc. (Burbank) in Association with Box Office Productions LLC Sign Daryl Hannah for "Love Is the Drug"

Daryl Hannah has agreed and come to terms with Alpine Pictures, Inc, in association with Box Office Productions LLC to star as Sandra Brand, in their upcoming feature film "Love Is the Drug", which begins filming in Los Angeles on April 25th.

Daryl Hannah has played such diverse roles as android, mermaid cave girl, and even a giant, and Alpine Pictures, inc is excited to have her join the cast of "Love Is the Drug". Daryl Christine Hannah was born December 3rd, 1960. Daryl went on the attend and graduate from University of Southern California School of Theater, practiced ballet with Maria Tallchief, and studied drama at Chicago's famed Goodman School of Drama. Daryl's talents are not limited to acting, she even played keyboard and was a back-up singer for Jackson Browne.

In Alpine Picture's Love Is the Drug, Daryl Hannah will be portraying Sandra Brand, the single mother of lead character Jonah Brand. Sandra is a single mother, struggling to raise a son alone, and sacrificing to afford him the opportunity to attend Horizon's, one of the most elite private schools in California.

Ryan Carroll, CEO of Alpine Pictures, Inc. expressed, “We are very excited to have such a talented actor playing Sandra Brand” and added, “We are looking forward to seeing how Daryl brings Sandra to life, and what surprises her talents will add to the character.”

As single mother Sandra Brand, Daryl will also face the daunting challenges of raising a teenage son alone, managing a home, bills, and career, as well as juggling a personal life of dating and personal problems.

Producer, Jed Nolan asserted “Sandra Brand is character that many single mothers will relate to, and Daryl will bring a strength and humility to the character that can inspire them.”

"Love Is the Drug" begins filming in Southern California on April 25th, and was written by Wesley Strick (Arachnophobia, Cape Fear, The Glass House) and is being directed by up and comer Elliot Lester. Casting Directors Anne McCarthy and Jay Scully of Engine, helped negotiate the terms of the contract with Daryl’s manager Chuck Bender, and Alpine Pictures, Inc.

Alpine Pictures, Inc is 10 year-old independent film production and distribution company located in Burbank, CA. In addition to "Love Is the Drug", Alpine just signed a five-picture deal with Resolution Independent of Australia, have the horror film Vampire Bachelor Party in development, and are making best efforts to bring the company into the public arena this year.
