Sacramento Bookstore to Host Meet & Greet Event with 20+ Authors

Book Lovers Bookstore in Sacramento will host the first annual Meet & Greet with more than twenty popular local authors on May 21st. This unique event brings together readers, aspiring writers and publishing industry professionals for a fun networking opportunity.

(PRWEB) April 16, 2005 -- Book Lovers Bookstore is hosting the first annual Meet & Greet with Sacramento Authors" on Saturday May 21st from noon until 3pm. This one of a kind event is free to the public and welcomes readers, writers, published authors and publishing industry professionals.

More than a twenty popular authors are scheduled to attend the event and the list continues to grow. Authors will mingle with attendees, answer questions, and autograph books. Some of the featured authors include:

- Cheryl Demas, founder of Work-At-Home-Moms Magazine (www.WAHM.com) and author of "Its a Jungle Out There and a Zoo in Here: Run Your Home Business Without Letting it Overrun You".
- Karen Sandler, author of "Baby Love" (Silhouette Special Edition -- May Release) and several other romance novels.
- T.E. Watson, author of more than 50 childrens books including "I Wanna Iguana" and "Mom Can I Have a Dragon?"
- Tim Herrera, former news reporter and author of "From Wedgies to Feeding Frenzies: A Semi-Survival Guide for Parents with Teens" and two other humorous parenting guides.
- Ben Waldron, author of "Corregidor: From Paradise to Hell", the memoir of Waldons experience as a prisoner of war for over three years.

The event provides a unique opportunity for readers, aspiring writers and publishing professionals to converge. Literary agent, Andrea Hurst (www.andreahurst.com), will also be on hand to talk with attendees and share her expertise.

Book Lovers store owner, Stephanie Chandler, said, Im looking forward to bringing the reading and writing community together for a fun day. Weve already received an overwhelming response from the community- we may have people spilling out onto the sidewalks!"

The event is topped off with a raffle to support Happy Tails Pet Sanctuary (www.happytails.org) in Sacramento. Chandler said, We have two store cats and some of our regulars stop in just to visit them. Happy Tails is a smaller animal rescue organization and we want to do what we can to get the word out about their wonderful program."

Chandler adds, We plan to make the Meet & Greet an annual event. Its going to be a fun networking opportunity for everyone."
