35% of Single Lavalife Women Would Rather Take Â?Body ShotsÂ? Off Donald Trump Than File Their Taxes!

With the deadline for filing taxes looming, Lavalife singles across North America fessed up that they’d rather get up close and personal with Donald Trump or risk public embarrassment than file their taxes!

According to a poll on Lavalife, 35% of the 2,500 single females surveyed said that they would rather take body shots off of Donald Trump than file their taxes – now that’s a sure way to get “fired!” Almost half (49%) of 4,200 men surveyed asserted that they would prefer to streak naked down a busy street than file those pesky tax forms. Almost a quarter of the poll participants claimed that they would choose to spend three months in jail with Martha Stewart instead of filing!

While that may seem extreme, male and female poll participants were actually very responsible about their plans to make use of this year’s tax refund. When asked what they intended to do with the extra cash, 70% of singles surveyed overwhelmingly responded that they planned to invest or save their refund this year. And there won’t be many runs to the post office at midnight (naked or otherwise), as more than two-thirds (71%) of 7,000 people polled stated that they had filed their taxes as soon as they could in February and March rather than waiting until the last minute.

Lavalife Corp. commissioned three separate surveys to gauge singles’ sentiments and preferences as the tax-filing deadline approached. The polls generated over 21,000 responses.

Other findings generated from the online poll, which was conducted the week of April 4th, 2005, include:

  • Just 15% of 7,000 singles polled say they plan to wait until the night before to file their taxes
  • While 71% of survey respondents plan to tuck their refund away in savings or investments, 19% said that they would love to splurge on an impromptu trip to Las Vegas
  • 25% of men surveyed would spend three months in a jail cell with Martha Stewart instead of filing their taxes (while only 15% of women surveyed would share a cell with the domestic diva)

Lavalife’s unique approach celebrates and enhances the single lifestyle, rather than focus solely on relationships, and offers a personalized and interactive social journey for young, trendy singles.
