New York, NY (PRWEB) April 20, 2005
Ambassador Yellow Pages is not only one of the fastest growing providers of directories in the nation, it is also a stalwart of community based support and action. Current NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg, former Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer and City Council Speaker Gifford Miller attended the essay contest.
Ambassador Parents Yellow Pages hosted an award ceremony on April 10th, which preceded the mayoral forum at the Samuel Field YMHA in Queens. Awards were handed out to the winners of AmbassadorÂs recent essay contest, which asked children to write about heroes in their lives. Winners received $50 United States Savings Bonds. The event served as the prelim for speeches given by New York City mayoral candidates, promoting themselves in what promises to be a competitive campaign.
Ambassador offers the only Parents Yellow Pages in the Big Apple, including publications in all five boroughs. ÂWe are in the business of connecting consumers and advertisers in an unparalleled way, said Kathy Hipple, AmbassadorÂs CEO. ÂBut our commitment doesnÂt stop there. Our business includes community involvement at the grassroots level.Â
AmbassadorÂs Parents Yellow Pages have helped parents locate vital services and products for their children for several years in Manhattan, Brooklyn/Staten Island, Queens, and the Bronx. ÂWe wanted to serve the needs of parents outside of New York City, by offering this niche directory to parents in other counties in New York, noted Hipple. ÂThis spring we have launched Parents Yellow Pages in Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties.Â
Ambassador Yellow Pages has been an innovator in the publishing field, introducing break-through products in print and online. In its six-year history, Ambassador launched directories in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx that helped to break a 100-year monopoly in those boroughs.
The company is not slowing down. Rather, its commitment to both advertisers and consumers is throttling up. Later this year Ambassador will launch the first-ever Spanish only Yellow Pages in the history of Manhattan. The Ambassador Manhattan Paginas Amarillas will be yet another example of commitment to the needs of the growing Hispanic community.
ÂA community well-served means advertisers who can connect with their market, concluded Hipple.
