Elmsford, NY (PRWEB) April 20, 2005
InfoValue Computing Inc. (ÂInfoValueÂ), experts in providing innovative, high-performance video streaming platforms and solutions, today announced at the NAB2005 Show that Major League Baseball Advanced Media LP (MLBAM) is deploying InfoValue QuickVideo this season as their broadband video streaming platform. InfoValue QuickVideo servers will stream high quality MPEG-4 video over the MLBAM IP networks that connect all 30 Major League ballparks. With the new system, producers will have instant access to video from other baseball games across the league and within minutes can quickly provide video highlights on-air and on the video screens in the ballparks.
InfoValue QuickVideo encodes video in real-time in high-quality MPEG-4 format and multicasts the video to ballparks for live viewing. Simultaneously, it records the MPEG-4 videos on video servers to allow on-demand replay of any baseball game. InfoValue QuickVideo also interoperates with QuickTime Player on Mac, MLBAMÂs preferred client, or on PC.
ÂWe spent considerable time searching for a robust video streaming solution that would enable us to take the next step in enriching the baseball fanÂs viewing experience, said Justin Shafer, VP Chief Architect of MLB.com. ÂInfoValue stepped up to the plate and delivered.Â
ÂWe are excited and proud to have contributed to Major League BaseballÂs continuing commitment to make a great fan experience even greater, said Monsong Chen, President and CEO of InfoValue. ÂWe appreciate that Justin and his team chose InfoValue QuickVideo over competing products for its reliability, performance and cost effectiveness.Â
