Hyatt Regency Kaua`i On Conde Nast Gold List for Eighth Consecutive Year

ANARA Spa Ranks in Top 50 Spas for NA/Caribbean

Poipu, Kauai, HI (PRWEB) April 23, 2005 -- The Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort and Spa topped its 2004 Conde Nast Magazine Gold List score with a 2005 overall score of 88.5-two points higher than last years ranking.

More than 20,000 subscribers to Conde Nast Traveler contributed to this eleventh edition of the Gold List, rating the best 700 hotels, resorts and cruise lines in 71 countries around the world. To qualify for inclusion on the prestigious Gold List of Worlds Best 700 Places to Stay, properties must receive a required minimum number of responses. This is Hyatt Regency Kauais eighth consecutive year on the list.

Resorts are rated in several categories including Rooms, Service, Food, Location and Activities. Hyatt Regency Kauai increased its scores in the Location and Activities categories by 6 points, scoring 94.3 for Location and 92.1 for Activities, compared with an 88.5 score last year in both categories. The resort scored 84.8 for its rooms in 2005, compared to 86.4 in 2004; 87.3 for service, compared to 87.6 in 2004; and 83.8 for food compared to 82.3 in 2004.

In a second readers survey (April, 2005) the Hyatts ANARA Spa earned an overall score of 87.5 in the magazines list of Top 50 Spas in North America and the Caribbean.

The readers poll was conducted by an independent polling firm. The firm compiled answers to questions from subscribers who had visited spas in the past three years. Respondents rated the spas of their choice using a five point scale from excellent" to poor." Excellent" and Very Good" scores were averaged and those spas with the highest totals were chosen as the best.

ANARA received an impressive 99.1 rank for location and setting, an 87.3 for treatments and a 90.2 for other activities available at the resort.
