American Graduate School of Management Adds Globalization Focus to Online Executive MBA

International Option adds international visit, global case studies, and project to AGSM online MBA program.

(PRWEB) April 25, 2005 -- A London Business School survey of over 100 CEOs found strong demand for MBA graduates with global awareness and experience. For our end-users," the report found, global business is more than a political discussion point, marketing mantra, or corporate aspiration; it is a burgeoning day-to-day reality." In response to this market demand and increased interest by its students, American Graduate School of Management (AGSM) is introducing an International Option to its Executive MBA Program.

This enhancement to the existing AGSM Executive MBA Program will enable AGSM students to more thoroughly understand the impact and implications of globalization. Students choosing the International Option will experience a well-rounded curriculum that focuses on developing the leadership, decision making and communication skills necessary to thrive in today's digital, global economy.

As leaders within their organizations, AGSM students already face the forces of globalization. The International Option will enable them to develop the skills and insight necessary to thrive in this environment," said Mary Adams, President, AGSM.

Under the International Option, the Strategic Capstone Project course will include relevant readings and cases, and students will select for their project an organization that is impacted by the forces of globalization. Students will also participate in a seven day trip to an international location where they will meet with representatives of their project company" and other key local representatives.

AGSM Executive MBA students learn from highly qualified faculty with both academic and industry experience, and use a unique blend of real-time interactive virtual classroom sessions and various self-paced learning modules. This program targets mid-career professionals, with significant work experience, who seek to enhance their careers by learning with motivated student peers and completing a demanding program. The Executive MBA program consists of twelve courses, each seven weeks in length, and can be completed in less than two years.

American Graduate School of Management (www.agsm.edu), an accredited higher education institution, delivers to its students the competitive advantages of an MBA that combines the best of traditional education with the flexibility and affordability of online education. AGSM was founded as a Vanderbilt University Technology Company.
