Orlando, FL (PRWEB) April 27, 2005
Dynetech Corporation was ranked 12 on the list of fastest growing inner-city companies in America among 4.500 nominations last night at the Inner City Summit in Boston. Last year Dynetech was listed 61. The list is a project of Inc. Magazine and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC).
ÂDespite perceptions to the contrary, our research and work has continually shown that locating all or part of oneÂs business in an inner city gives you inherent advantages  from workforce diversity and availability to proximity to transportation nodes and downtown, said Michael E. Porter, a Harvard Business School professor who founded ICIC in 1994. ÂBy choosing to grow businesses in AmericaÂs inner cities, the owners of these businesses are transforming urban landscapes across the nation.Â
ÂThe growth and revitalization of OrlandoÂs urban core is being greatly enhanced by the rapid growth in jobs at DynetechÂs current downtown location, said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, Âwe are pleased that Dynetech Corporation has been selected as an ICIC- Inc. magazine, Inner City 100 Company for the second year in a row. We are also very pleased that its founder and chairman, Laurence Pino, has been such an advocate on behalf of the City and growth of technology companies within our boundaries. We look forward to construction of the Dynetech Centre downtown, Mayor Dyer said.
ÂI also want to salute Co-Advantage Resources, another rapidly growing Orlando company that appears on the list again this year, Mayor Dyer concluded.
