The HBO award-winning funeral home dramatic television series -- now in its fifth and final season -- features lead performances by Rachel Griffiths, Peter Krause, Michael C. Hall and Frances Conroy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Indie mainstay Jim Denault -- the cinematographer behind such titles as 1999s Boys Dont Cry," 2001s The Believer" and 1994s Maria Full of Grace" -- has become HBOs go-to-guy for series lensing. After wrapping the latest season of Carnivale," Denault is digging into Six Feet Under."
Denault said that working on the series is helping water the roots. Its a totally different experience from what Im used to, but at the same time, theres an Indie mentality with the HBO crews. Were just working on a larger canvas with a bit more money," Denault said. Denault is shooting Six Feet Under" in tandem with cinematographer Rob Sweeney (Blue Car"). Sweeney recently shot some first unit on Team America: World Police" with lead DP Bill Popes blessing.
