LA Femme Film Festival Announces Schedule of Seminar and Panelist Expert for the May 27-29 Festival
Discussions to focus on the future of filmmaking and empowerment of women
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 27, 2005 -- LA Femme Film Festival announced today its schedule for the first year of this new and exciting film festival premiering at the Los Angeles Center Studios in downtown Los Angeles on May 27- 29, 2005.
The seminar is designed as an open forum for discussions that revolve around the film industrys perception of the role of women in entertainment today and the direction films are taking in the next decade. The goal is that the attendees leave with a more tangible understanding of the different approaches to filmmaking with commercial appeal on a global basis. The panel of experts will be giving strong advice and background on how they have broken through the barriers to film production, financing, and distribution.
One of the innovative topics up for discussion is, Storytelling: All the gossip with the boring parts left out!" Moderated by Independent Producer, Maria Bravo (Storytelling) featuring Penelope Spheeris, Director (Black Sheep, The Little Rascals, The Beverly Hillbillies and Waynes World), Cynthia Mort, Writer (Rosanne and The Guide), Dorothy Kozak, Sr. Script Analyst, Walt Disney Pictures, Ivana Chubbuck, Acting Coach, Lupe Ontiveros, Actress (Real Women Have Curves, As Good As It Gets, Selena and El Norte) and Pat Quinn, Literary Agent, Innovative Agency as panelists.
