Sierra Pointe Retirement Community and Scottsdale Healthcare Team up to Offer Free Senior Health Fair
Sierra Pointe retirement community and Scottsdale Healthcare are joining forces to present a free Senior Vitality Health and Wellness Fair" on Saturday, May 14 from 8 a.m. until noon in Sierra Pointes Third Floor Activity Room at 14500 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd., Scottsdale, Ariz. The event will feature educational exhibits, free health screenings and complimentary refreshments. It is part of a joint effort to improve the health and well being of the community.
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) April 28, 2005 -- As part of a joint effort to improve the health and well being of the local community, Sierra Pointe retirement community and Scottsdale Healthcare are joining forces to present a free Senior Vitality Health and Wellness Fair" on Saturday, May 14 from 8 a.m. until noon.
The event will be held in Sierra Pointes Third Floor Activity Room at 14500 N. Frank Lloyd Wright Blvd., Scottsdale, Ariz. Valet parking will be available.
It will feature educational exhibits, free health screenings and complimentary refreshments. Health screenings -- including blood pressure, cholesterol (total lipid profile) and glucose, gait and balance, oral, hearing and vision -- will be provided at no cost to a limited number of attendees ages 55 years and above by members of Scottsdale Healthcares staff.
Other educational and informational resources for seniors will include cholesterol counseling, smoking cessation tips, senior safety tips, Sierra Pointe education and information, and an overall health summary/evaluation. Sierra Pointe Representatives will be on hand to answer retirement questions and explain the retirement resorts new, exclusive Passport Club, which offers seniors a chance to experience the resort retirement lifestyle firsthand before they retire.
Giveaways at the fair will include mugs, pens, magnifier key chains and other promotional items provided by Sierra Pointe. Bags and other free gifts will be provided by Scottsdale Healthcare and its sponsors.

Screenings are sponsored by proceeds generated by Scottsdale Healthcare Foundations Honor Ball which supports the healthcare facility's Community Health Services programs.
