lefashionista.com—fashion-forward designer bags don’t leave your pocketbook behind

When was the last time anyone asked where you picked up that Lush Loop de Loop bag you were carrying (and secretly wondered how you could afford it)? Or, cast green eyes over that Besso Metallic tucked under your arm (and inquired if your year-end bonus came earlyÂ?in January)? Well, if no oneÂ?s asking, youÂ?re not shopping lefashionista.com.

Brainchild of Founder and President, Angelique Sims, lefashionista.com brings together chic, smart, and seriously stylish handbags at reasonable price points. Angelique went into the bag biz when she got tired of paying “crazy prices” for the fabulous bags she really wanted.

“I wanted upscale designer styles on a working girl’s paycheck,” says Angelique. “I wanted to look like Sarah Jessica Parker, but I couldn’t afford her design team!”

That’s when Angelique came up with her idea for lefashionista—a shop that specializes in up-and-coming designers whose trends are becoming popular, but whose prices are still affordable to the average woman. Angelique’s first choice was Cuffz by Linz, who designed the Barfly Bag that Paris Hilton made so popular. And Angelique had her market niche.

“I realized with that bag there were a lot of women out there like me,” asserts Angelique. “They want bags in fabulous fabrics and hip designs at reasonable prices. And, now she’s got it—at my shop.”

Angelique’s fashion savvy is apparent in the trend-setting designers and the fashion and quality of the bags she’s chosen to sell. Her bags look like they’d cost hundreds of dollars, but she keeps her price points between $100 and $400.

Take lefashionista.com’s Besso line—fantastic bags in tried and true looks including hobo, messenger, cargo, and tote styles in zingy pink, sinful silver, and ripping blue.

“Metallics just sizzle when a girl wears them,” says Angelique. “Metallics say I’m sweet and sassy, and what better message is there?”

But Angelique didn’t stop there. She developed an even lower-priced line to appeal to the teen set, whose spending ceiling is often low.

“When I was a teenager, I always hankered for those great looks, but I could never afford them,” says Angelique. “So I created lefashionista’s Budget Style Bags that run as low as $30—and still look great.”

One of lefashionista.com’s Budget Style Bags for spring comes in buttery faux leather. The colors are light and playful, like Popcorn, Illusion Blue, and this spring’s trendsetting Pink. The Princessa line, in Metallics, dangles charms from the straps that can be removed to put on jeans or skirt. There are messenger-style bags, great hobo styles and an elegant evening bag in silver, gold or black. All are priced to sell well under $100.

“But quality is really important to me,” says Angelique. “I want to look fabulous, and I know other women do, too. So my bags all say quality as well as fashion.”

But if fashion is important to you, lefashionista.com’s got it in the ‘As Seen In’ collection. The satin disco clutch, for example, can be spotted in Star Style. And last month’s NYLA mag displayed the same Gold Metallic Hobo Bag (which Cameron Diaz also sported on the red carpet) that can now be found at Lefashionista.com.

”I love fashion. I love style. And a handbag says so much about you,” reflects Angelique. “Really. Your bag’s the tell-all of who you are, and what you want others to see and say about you. And I want all my bags to say “ooh-la-la.” And they do. At a price you can afford!”
