First Biotech Landed for Florida's Abacoa Site

Dyadics Corporate HQ Move Brings Biotech R&D lab to Abacoa Jupiter, Florida

Jupiter, FL (PRWEB) April 29, 2005 -- Rendina Companies® announced today that Dyadic International, Inc., a leading biotechnology company, plans to relocate its corporate headquarters and its biotechnology research and development laboratory to Abacoa in Jupiter, Florida. The President of The Scripps Research Institute, Dr. Richard A. Lerner, serves as Chairman of Dyadics Scientific Advisory Board.

Abacoa was specifically developed for companies like Dyadic due to the convenient location, proximity to Florida Atlantic University and many other unique factors," said Bruce Rendina, Chairman and CEO of Rendina Companies, the nations leading healthcare real estate development firm which designed and developed Abacoa. Given its state of the art business facilities, Abacoa is the ideal place for biotechnology companies to relocate, consolidate, or start up operations," added Mr. Rendina.

After a careful evaluation of a wide variety of locations, including those outside of the State of Florida, biotech companies are increasingly looking to Abacoa as the ideal site for research facilities due to its close proximity to the operational, temporary Scripps R&D facility, proximity to Palm Beach International Airport, as well as the great quality of life features offered by Abacoa to employees and their families. We believe that these factors, combined together, will serve as a catalyst for attracting many other biotechnology companies to Abacoa."

Dyadic is very excited to take this next step in the companys development," said Mark Emalfarb, Dyadics Chief Executive Officer. Founded in 1979, Dyadic International, Inc. (OTC BB: DYAD), is a leading biotechnology company with headquarters in Jupiter, Florida.

"The efforts of Governor Bush, the State of Florida and Palm Beach County to leverage The Scripps Research Institute as a catalyst for attracting capital and expertise to Florida's emerging biotech cluster played an important part in Dyadic's decision, added Mr.
Emalfarb.

To accommodate the company's rapid growth, we are building a new state of the art 40,000 sq. ft. facility in the Abacoa development in Jupiter to house our corporate and R&D staff. The new Dyadic headquarters will be located in close proximity to the temporary Scripps R&D facility at Florida Atlantic University, also located in Abacoa. We anticipate that in the short to medium term, a part of our new facility not utilized by Dyadic will serve as incubator space to house some of the various development-stage biotechnology companies resulting from the Florida biotechnology initiative."
