The US Pan Asian American Chamber of Commerce (USPAACC), the countryÂs leading non-profit organization advocating economic development for Asian Americans, and Cendant, a diversified global provider of business and consumer services, primarily within the real estate and travel sectors, will hold a franchising seminar at the 20th Anniversary CelebrAsian 2005: Diversity Means Business, May 4-6 at the Omni Shoreham hotel in Washington, D.C. It is the largest annual national Asian American business conference in the United States.
ÂWe are excited to present an educational franchising seminar and one-on-one meeting consultations at CelebrAsian 2005, the countryÂs premier event for the Asian American business community, said Scott Welsh, CendantÂs Director of Supplier Diversity. ÂParticipants will not only meet face-to-face with franchising owners at every investment level, but will also take home valuable lessons that could only be learned from years of experience.Â
ÂThe seminars will offer a goldmine of knowledge to Asian American entrepreneurs who are looking for new and additional opportunities, said Susan Au Allen, USPAACC National President and CEO. ÂParticipants will acquire first-rate skills, new insights into franchising, and how to apply successful, proven and tested business concepts to remain competitive in todayÂs marketplace.Â
The franchising seminar will be held on the morning of May 6th, on the third day of the business conference. In-depth examinations of the different franchise relationships and how they affect potential franchisees will be presented at the seminar, including practical, legal, strategic and financial issues involved, and how to avoid the potential pitfalls. Participants will also learn the challenges and rewards of launching a new franchise, the latest on franchise rules, regulations and cutting edge techniques from the collective perspectives of top professionals in the industry. The one-on-one consultations will be held in the afternoon of the same day.
