Stuffedbearcity.com, an on line retailer of stuffed bears, has formed a partnership with The National ChildrenÂs Cancer Society (NCCS) to raise funds for programs and the care of children with Cancer. Through the partnership Stuffedbearcity.com will donate proceeds from the sale of a embroidered nine inch ChildrenÂs Cancer Awareness bear.
ÂThe driving mission and focus of our business is to raise money for those in need. We are so impressed with all the great work and programs at NCCS and very happy to be a fundraising partner for them. It is our hope that we can donate substantial funds to benefit their mission of helping children with cancer said Stuffedbearcity.com President Robyn Kelleher.
Based on St Louis MO and founded in 1987 NCCS, a non profit organization, has provided over $32 million in direct assistance to more then 15,000 children, working with the pediatric oncology units in over 200 hospitals nationally. The mission of NCCS is to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and reduce the risk of childrenÂs cancer. NCCS provides payment support for treatment, opportunities for children with cancer for social and physical activities, an internet support network for families, programs for cancer survivors, distributes educational material and distributes pharmaceuticals and medical supplies internationally. Applications for assistance are available at nationalchildrenscancersociety.com.
Stuffedbearcity.com sells over 300 different varieties of bears. The purchase of any bear results in donations to organizations active in family homelessness. Many of their bears in the Âfrom the heart category result in donations to cause specific organizations. In addition to their partnership with NCCS, stuffedbearcity.com has partnerships with the Susan G. Komen Fund, Habit for Humanity and Hugs and Hope.
ÂIt is our goal to establish many other partnerships for the benefit of the organizations worldwide that do such great things for those less fortunate. The creation of our company was founded on the principal and for every partnership we further the cause and do our part to support them. It is rewarding work that makes us happy to know we have helped in a small wayÂ. said Kelleher.
