Soldiers Angels-Sheets for Soldiers
Sheets for Soldiers Returning from Iraq.
(PRWEB) May 2, 2005 -- Soldiers Angels is a non-profit, volunteer run organization which has gone from a mother writing a few extra letters to a community of volunteers that number in the thousands worldwide, and is still growing.
Soldiers Angels realized how important that first night back after deployment would be to a soldier's morale. A soldier who comes home to bright sheets, snacks, gifts and welcome letters, has a running start to recovering from the normal angst of readjusting to life in the United States and even from PTSD.
Please help to ensure that soldiers know what a tremendous job they have done.
SA's are doing a large project that will provide a welcome home with fresh bedding and thank you cards and letters for the unmarried soldiers of a unit returning to Ft. Carson, CO late this summer after a year's deployment in Iraq. These soldiers have worked long, hard hours while being in harms way 24-7. Many have lost a few friends during their deployment and they deserve something special when they come home. Other than family, what could boost their morale more than a nice, fresh comfortable bed on their first night back covered with cards and letters welcoming them home and thanking them for their service?
What's needed:
700 twin flat sheets,
350 blankets,
350 twin size blankets and
Welcome Home letters.
We are accepting donations until June 15, 2005.
