Comedian Competition Offers Career Boost

The nationwide search for The WorldÂ?s Greatest Unknown ComedianÂ? could launch a full time career for an unknown talent. In addition to a $10,000 prize The WorldÂ?s Greatest Unknown Comedian will receive the ultimate career boost with booking representation in comedy clubs across the nation!

Joel Pace, one of the nations premiere booking agents for standup comedians, will join an elite panel of judges for The World’s Greatest Unknown Comedian™ competition produced by Hollywood’s Master Storytellers Entertainment. According to Nadine C. Hamden of HMS Entertainment, “Pace and Heffron Talent International have agreed to take the winner of The World’s Greatest Unknown Comedian™ and book them in comedy clubs.” Pace is the Head Booking Agent and Director of New Venue Development for Heffron Talent International, one of the largest talent agencies in the world dedicated to comedians and comedy events. “Joel and his team book over 2,000 comics around the country. In addition to prize money and notoriety this is an incredible break for the winner,” adds Hamdan.

The World’s Greatest Unknown Comedian™ is an international talent search hosted online by FilmStew.com. Although the competition doesn’t formally launch until May, it has already drawn over a million hits on FilmStew.com and hundreds of entries according to Hamdan.

Heffron Talent International operates “The Comedy Zone,” the largest comedy club network in America with affiliates in over thirty cities in the United States and the Caribbean. The Comedy Zone brings nationally performing comedians to a network of clubs and corporate events all over the country, entertaining hundreds of thousands of people annually. “We are always on the lookout for new talent, so we were very excited about getting involved in The World’s Greatest Unknown Comedian™ competition,” Pace explains. “Our biggest challenge is just to make sure we put the best entertainers on our stages and based on what I’ve seen so far, this competition will generate a fabulous great talent pool.”

Joel Pace will be joining a stellar Judge’s Panel, which includes stand-up star Bobby Collins, actor-comedian Taylor Negron, National Lampoon Radio chairman, Kent Emmons, and “E” Entertainment executive, Donna Scavella.
