Unemployed Graphic Artist with Limited Finances Turns Entrepreneur, Then Sets Out To Make MADE IN BED*STY BROOKLYN(TM)" The Platform for Neighborhood Changes
BROOKLYN, NEW YORK -- Wanting to associate Bedford-Stuyvesant with something more meaningful than the Do or Die! concept JP Styles, a recently unemployed graphic designer conceived the MADE IN BED*STY BROOKLYN(TM) theme. Though the words initially referred to Bedford-Stuyvesant residents who were entrepreneurs Mr. Styles realized it had deeper themes.

Whether its one that has lived here for generations, or a new family moving in, the idea is about celebrating common family values. Our slogan also serves as a reminder of the children who are and will continue to be made" here.
Since many of the older residents have voiced concerns about the influx of Manhattanites into Bedford-Stuyvesant. The theme presented by the slogan is one of building an environment of healthy co-existence. Its about remembering the days of the DO OR DIE!" while looking at the future possibilities of what can be MADE IN BED*STY BROOKLYN(TM).
The MADE IN BED*STY BROOKLYN(TM) product line begins with screenprinted logographic t-shirts in styles for the whole family. The shirts are manufactured under the JP Styles Designs t-shirt label. Based on the success of the t-shirts the product line will be expand to include cups, buttons, bumper stickers and bags featuring the logo.
Talismage Entertainment Inc has partnered with neighborhoods shops to make the MADE IN BED*STY BROOKLYN(TM) t-shirts available to Bedford-Stuyvesant residents. These shops will receive a percentage of each t-shirt. Coinciding with the date of this release Talismage has begun a flyer distribution campaign in the neighborhood to promote these shops.
Portions of the money raised through the sale of MADE IN BED*STY BROOKLYN(TM) logo items will be funneled back into the neighborhood in the form of community oriented contributions. Our first goal is to raise enough funds to secure the Web address www.bedfordstuyvesant.com so it can be made the focal point of all things Bedford-Stuyvesant related.
