ClubMom, The Free National Membership Organization For Moms, Announces Christine Louise Hohlbaum As Its Stay-at-Home Mom Expert

Stay-at-home moms have received a new voice in the online community. SAHM I Am: Tales of a Stay-at-Home Mom in Europe author, Christine Louise Hohlbaum, was recently appointed the role of ClubMom's SAHM expert (www.clubmom.com). Hohlbaum understands what moms who stay at home with their children need -- as she is one.

(PRWEB) May 4, 2005 -- "When I first heard the acronym 'SAHM', I thought it was someone's first name," laughs Hohlbaum, a Virginia native who moved from the U.S. to a town near Munich, Germany, with her husband and children two years ago. "I am so thrilled to be a part of the ClubMom community." Christine has been a stay-at-home mom for four years and has offered parenting advice on National Public Radio (NPR) and during public-speaking engagements numerous times.

Despite the physical distance, ClubMom editor Monica Bernstein agrees that Hohlbaum is the right woman for the job. "Her impressive background made her a natural fit as ClubMom's SAHM expert for our more than two million mom members."

Companies such as Dodge, Unilever, PepsiCo, The Home Depot, Verizon Wireless, and more partner with ClubMom to recognize moms as the
'CEO of the household' and reward them for the important role they play in our society," relates Bernstein. "Each partner participates in a unique way to deliver value to members."

Some partners offer members ClubMom Points for shopping, which moms can redeem for spa visits, movie tickets, and hundreds of rewards from the ClubMom catalog. Other partners offer moms special deals or coupons. "You've got to shop," says Bernstein, "so you might as well get rewarded for it!" It's free to join ClubMom and moms of every age and stage are invited.

Living abroad hasn't slowed down Hohlbaum's efforts as a parenting advocate. "My husband lost his biotech job in a downsizing effort in the U.S. in 2003 so we started looking around for alternatives. Since he's German, his homeland quickly came to mind." Her popular e-zine, Powerful Families, Powerful Lives," attracts parents and grandparents around the globe for its encouraging and empowering message that parents needn't be all things to all people.

In addition, her two parenting-related books, Diary of a Mother: Parenting Stories and Other Stuff (2003), and SAHM I Am: Tales of a Stay-at-Home Mom in Europe (May 2005), have received much acclaim worldwide. As a SAHM expert for ClubMom, Hohlbaum encourages people to live a creative, fun life despite their daily family obligations.
