BOMA Austin Continues its Commitment to Community in 2005
BOMA Austin, the Building Owners and Management Association, has crystallized its 2005 Commitment to Community efforts. This year the non-profit, member-driven association is harnessing its membership to support efforts that have included The Downtown Austin Arts Festival, and will include numerous other initiatives such as the Annual Smoke Alarm Drive, held in conjunction with the Austin Fire Department (AFD). The drive, which begins in August and runs through October, raises money to purchase smoke alarms and batteries for low income residences. Volunteers from AFD and BOMA install the alarms across neighborhoods in Austin.
