"The award for 'Number One Avid Educational Center, Worldwide,' goes to Video Symphony, in Burbank, California."

Video Symphony's president, Mike Flanagan, said, "Thank you, Avid, for your industry leadership. This award represents an affirmation of the comprehensive Avid educational programs and the value we both provide to those seeking editing careers in films and TV."

"This achievement also validates our relationship with the many Hollywood production and post-production companies that rely on Video Symphony for upgrade training of their staffers, as well as for well-prepared entry-level editors. Avid Program graduates from Video Symphony are accepted around the industry."

Kathy Powers, Avid Technology's Vice President of Services, presented the award during the annual gathering of Avid Authorized Training Centers, sponsored by Avid Educational Services, at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) convention in Las Vegas.

This award represents the second consecutive worldwide achievement for Video Symphony (2003 and 2004) and the second "winning streak." Previously, Video Symphony was named as the #1 worldwide Avid Educational Center from 1996 through 1999.

Video Symphony and Avid Educational Services have enjoyed eleven years of close alliance, developing training courses and programs that keep up with the rapid advances in nonlinear technology, and to prepare students to obtain and retain editing positions in the entertainment industry.

"Even though it is a perpetual challenge to keep pace with all of Avid's innovative developments," Flanagan said, "Video Symphony remains dedicated to training students in the state-of-the-industry craft of Avid editing."
