Paladin sponsors the blog at http://www.paladinregistryblog.com so that independent financial professionals have a common, interactive discussion site they can use to debate important topics that impact their livelihoods and the services they deliver to investors. PaladinÂs goal in sponsoring the site was to provide an electronic meeting place for independent professionals who compete with the Wall Street marketing machine.
Jack Waymire, founder of Paladin and author of WhoÂs Watching Your Money? The 17 Paladin Principles for Selecting a Financial Advisor said Âwhether the professionals are employed by Wall Street firms and thinking about leaving or are currently independent, there are numerous issues and conflicts that impact their ability to deliver objective, trustworthy advice to investors. We developed this blog site after talking to hundreds of professionals who said they had little or no voice in regard to the resolution of these issues and conflicts. We found this a little surprising because most of them belonged to associations, but we were told the associations agendas were focused on the needs of the majority of their members versus the unique needs of higher quality professionals. For example, the issues that impact professionals who have 20 years of experience and service clients with more than $100 million are substantially different than the needs of an advisor who has five years of experience and provides services to clients with a few million dollars.Â
Some of the 14 categories on the Paladin Blog site include:
 Breakaway Brokers
 Ethical Standards vs Money
 Reality-Based Compliance
 Conflict-Free Compensation
ÂPoliticians & Regulators
 Fiduciary Concerns
 Schemes & Scams
Paladin is also lining up frequent contributors who will provide original content to the site. Many of the contributors are recognized experts in their fields and are heavily published already. Their contributions to the Paladin Blog will be articles that can be commented on by financial advisors. Advisors can also submit articles that will be published on the site.
